Las Vegas and Death Valley
This summer, we will be taking a trip to Alaska. When we planned that trip, I had been to 48 states, and my wife to 49; neither of us have been to Alaska, and the only one I was missing otherwise was Nevada. So we decided, in order to make Alaska our 50th together, to take a quick Nevada trip: Las Vegas for a couple of days, and then out to Death Valley. While Vegas is not my scene, I tried to enjoy it through the lens at least. Death Valley, on the other hand, was very much my scene - it is now my favorite National Park, of those I’ve visited. Some photos from both, along with a quick day trip to Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, are below.
